EDUCATION SUB-COMMITTEE
TERMS OF REFERENCE
The purpose of the Education Subcommittee is to develop and facilitate initiatives that will enable the AFAANZ board to achieve its mission and goals in relation to education.
Membership
- The composition of the Subcommittee comprises the following: Co-chair (also member of the AFAANZ board), Co-chair and 4-6 members
- Changes to membership are agreed by the co-chairs in consultation with the AFAANZ board.
- Term of membership will be 3 years.
- Expression of interest to join the sub-committee will be called in July when vacancies arise.
- AFAANZ members who have expressed an interest to join the AFAANZ board may also be co-opted on the subcommittee.
Meetings
- Meetings are to be held every two months and scheduled around AFAANZ Board meetings. These are either in person or online. Additional meetings may be arranged when necessary.
- A quorum will be at least one of the co-chairs and 3 members.
Minutes
- Brief minutes and actions are to be maintained by one of the co-chairs and distributed to members of the Subcommittee within 7 days of the meeting.
- Brief minutes and actions of the meetings are to be circulated to the AFAANZ board.
Reporting/Relationship
- The Co-chair (also member of the AFAANZ board) will report to the AFAANZ board.
- Approval for initiatives will be sought from the AFAANZ board. On time critical matters, approval can be sought from the AFAANZ Presidents.
